In 1928 A.T. Bacchus built a lumber store on Vashon to supply builders with the materials and tools necessary to develop the island town and homes. Nearly 100 years later, that same store, having undergone a couple of changes in ownership, location and inventory is still focused on providing materials and tools to island contractors.
